Buying baby toys can be expensive and a wonderful alternative is to make your own baby toys from the available free crochet patterns found on the internet. From my own personal search there seems to be a nearly unlimited supply of free patterns, and while every project may not be suitable for every child there is certainly something out there to accommodate everyone. The most important aspect of creating these projects is to take your time and pay close attention while making them - loose threads can be dangerous to a small child very quickly should an excellent pattern be completed haphazardly.
